This unique, active safari has been a great choice for combining incredible wildlife viewing and African cross-cultural experiences. You will enjoy a combination of fine lodges and private, catered bush camping in remote areas. You will meet some of the most interesting tribes in East Africa, encounter great herds of wildlife on foot and from a spacious, comfortable, 4 x 4 safari vehicles. Throughout, you will benefit from a guide who is both an expert naturalist, as well as a friend of the people in the communities you will visit. Rather than spending time in cities or resort areas, you will be exploring areas with few other tourists, but lots of opportunities to enjoy the wonderful people and wildlife of Kenya. Expect an inside view of the great Masai Mara (One of the seventh wonder of the modern world as depicted by ABC, USA) animal migration. If you make only one African safari, this is a great choice.
Day 1: NAIROBI
You will be met at the airport and transferred to the city hotel for overnight.(BB)
Day 2: NAIROBI
On this day, you will have a full day in Nairobi. While in Nairobi, you will have a car at your disposal and you will be able to visit the giraffe center, animal orphanage and the Daphne Sheldrick. Overnight at the city hotel. (BB)
Day 3 – 5: SHABA GAME RESERVE
This morning, you will drive north via the western side of Mt. Kenya through the frontier town of Isiolo to Shaba Game reserve. During our stay in this area, we have game drives in the Buffalo Springs and Samburu Reserves. (3B, 3L, 3D)
Day 6: SWEETWATERS
After breakfast we will retrace our way and head to the Sweetwaters Tented Camp. While in Sweetwaters, you will visit the chimpazees sanctuary and also go for a night game drive (extra). Overnight and meals at the Sweetwaters Serena Lodge. (1B, 1L, 1D)
Days 7-8: LAKE NAKURU
Drive to the Rift Valley and proceed to the famous Lake Nakuru. You may hear the sound of tens of thousands of flamingoes flying overhead at night. (2B, 2L, 2D)
Day 9-11: MASAI MARA

Our next destination will be the Masai Mara. While in the Mara, you will enjoy very early morning and evening game drives. Weather and skies should be excellent for photography of what many people agree is the greatest large mammal wildlife spectacle on Earth. (3B, 3L, 3D)
Day 12: ARUSHA, TANZANIA
After breakfast, we will have a game drive enroute to the flight back to Nairobi and transfer to our flight to Tanzania. Overnight in Arusha. (B,L,D).
Day 13-14: NGORONGORO
From Arusha, we will drive/ fly to the Ngorongoro conservation area. (2B, 2L, 2D)
Day 15: ARUSHA/ NAIROBI/USA
From the crater we will transfer to the airport for your connection flight back home via KIA/ NBO. (B)
